La combativité du regard, enjeu pour l'esthétique

Tentons de peser les conséquences de l’émergence tardive de l’esthétique. Les imagessont maintenant partout : elles forment une langue envahissante, universellement intelligible,répandue par les nouvelles technologies. Pourquoi, alors, aucune photographiene réussit-elle à rendre le choc des attentats de Paris ? Voir vraiment, voir enfin,serait-ce ne plus voir, refuser de voir ? Comment éviter de tomber dans le piège quenous tend l’État islamique en utilisant l’esthétique à des fins de propagande ? Contreles tentations du négativisme il importe de développer une « critique » instruite et sensible,qui se fonde sur l’analyse de l’expérience esthétique et s’attache aux modes desurgissement du « réel ». Développer la combativité du regard, c’est comprendre que,situé à la fois ici et là-bas, il est exposé au double danger de la dissémination dans sesobjets et de l’effondrement sur lui-même. /
The consequences of the late appearance of aesthetics are tried to weighed in thispaper. The images are nowadays everywhere: they make up an invasive language, universallyunderstandable, which is spread by the new technologies. Why then has anypicture succeeded to witness the shock of the attacks of Paris? Will not be seeing truthfully,seeing anyway, not to see, to refuse to see? How to avoid to be caught into thetrap of ISIS when using the aesthetics in order to make propaganda? Against the temptationsof negativism, it is important to develop a well-informed and sensitive «critique» which is based on the analysis of the aesthetic experience and is tied the modesof the arising of the «real». The development of a combativeness of the gaze is to understandthat here and over there it is exposed to the double danger of the disseminationin its objects and the collapse of itself.
