L'instant nuital, l'acte esthétique et la méthode du sublime [en ligne]

Is it possible to go back to one moment when visible and invisible wouldn’t be separated? Unlike the night’s moment which happens between the twilight of evening and the twilight of morning, the « nuital » appears in the glare of night, but also in the dazzling light. Not assigned to a pace of time, the nuital wakes up the idea of destiny. We stop suddently flickering, attentive with its furtive obviousness and watching the stages of its passage. Something is there at stake or not? The feeling of our membership in the world is in any case intimately modified. I would like to show, by contemplating Christian Gardair’s pictural work, how the aesthetic act and the method of sublime make both possible an access to the nuital, while opening to major interrogations.
