Existence, Minimality, and Believing

In this chapter—which resembles a play in three acts—I begin by defining the goals of my existential anthropology: to observe human beings, to meticulously analyze experiential moments and presences, and to follow, describe, and compare individuals in a succession of moments and situations over time. My focus is the individual existent andanthroposin general, rather than cultures, societies, groups, and activities.
