Abstract : This article provides a reflexive analysis of a collaborative research project, the REV project, which studied everyday forms of resistance to gentrification in four countries (France, Belgium, Austria and Portugal) and which was carried out over two years by eleven researchers. The article describes three aspects. First, it outlines the organization of the research team comprised of scholars from different disciplines, generations, professional ranks and academic structures. Second, it examines the development of the team's common methodological framework, which allowed the researchers to study four neighborhoods in four capital cities, each exhibiting different forms of resistance to gentrification. Finally, it discusses the synthesis of the study's findings, which was a necessarily long and challenging process, but made particularly fruitful thanks to the inclusion of photography as a research tool.
