Daech, un "Etat islamique" ?

On 29 June 2014, Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi announced the establishment of a Caliphate in the territory controlled by Daesh, and invited all Muslims to join the new “Islamic state.” The Daesh phenomenon is an opportunity to revisit the definition of the state. The study of the “Islamic state” tends to show the limits of the material definition of the state and of the principle of effectiveness and encourages to consider an additional criterion, that of the legality of the existence of the State.

Le 29 juin 2014, Abou Bakr Al-Baghdadi proclame le Califat sur le territoire contrôlé par Daech et invite tous les musulmans à rejoindre ce nouvel « État islamique ». Le phénomène Daech est l’occasion de revenir sur la définition de l’État. L’étude de l’« État islamique » tend à montrer les limites de la définition matérielle de l’État et du principe de l’effectivité et incite à envisager un critère additionnel, celui de la licéité de l’existence de l’État.
