La teoría del mundo justo en el ámbito laboral: un estudio de la justicia organizacional percibida según género y status frente al empleo

Abstract : The belief in a just world has been defined as the tendency to consider that « people get what they deserve and deserve what they get » (Lerner and Simmons, 1966). Studies showed two important findings: 1) that this belief is unequally shared between people, in response to certain variables, and 2) that this belief is socially valued and that people are conscious of its desirability, so it is possible to assign the status of a social norm to that belief. However, the questionnaires measuring this belief are generally multi-dimensional which don’t take into account all the implications of Lerner and Simmons’ theory, and it does not exist, to our knowledge, questionnaires of belief in just world specifically adapted to the organization field, except the Gangloff and Duchon (2010) questionnaire applied in France. The purpose of the present research was to replicate this questionnaire in Argentine for a group of salaried employee and unemployed people, male and female, in order to study the belief level in such organizational justice. The results obtained highlight the richness of the concept of just world evidenced from the analysis of their different implications and a quasi-systematic gender effect often much more important than the employment status effect.
