El locus de control en los medios educativo y organizacional argentinos: acerca de las valorización de las atribuciones externas en la aplicación de los refuerzos

Abstract : This is an article about Locus of Control, emerged from two studies conducted in Argentina. The first corresponds to educational field and has performed with university teachers and students; the second corresponds to organizational field and is about managers and employees. We have inquired about the forms of attributions invocated for all of them, in terms of rewards and penalities. It has also sought to determine what was the assessment of those sources of power. The subject raised was if in the case of the distributive behavior of reinforcements, the causes could be attributed to external variables, in particular the receivers of these reinforcements, and if these forms of attribution were known and valued or not. The results obtained point to externality. Consequently, it emerges the reductionism of commonly performed studies in the domain of attribution: the researchers observed a valorization of internal explanations of reinforcements, but only looking to receptors’ explanations: they neglected, in fact, an examination of the distributional behavior. Therefore, they do not study more than a restricted set of behaviors, although they tend to consider their results as applicable to all. The results obtained highlight the unfairness of this type of generalization.
