El locus de distribución en el medio organizacional: de la valorización/ desvalorización de las explicaciones internas vs. externas utilizadas para justificar las recompensas y sanciones distribuidas por los superioresjerárquicos

Abstract : The reinforcements that one receives can be the object of a dichotomy intern/extern that refers to the concept of LOC, and generally the receptor of these reinforcements attributes the responsibility of this reception to himself. The corollary of the LOC, that is the causal assignment made by the distributor of these reinforcements, that refers to the concept of LOD (locus of distribution), has been little examined: it should result in considering the receptors of these reinforcements causes of these reinforcements. The behaviors that we adopt also can conduct to an internal/external dichotomy that refers to the concept of attribution, and again we usually consider that we are the cause of our behaviors. So, to put internal explanations concerning the LOC in touch with the LOD that is with the assignment of the distributive behaviors of reinforcements should result in agent’s distributors of reinforcements assigning their distributive behaviors to external reason, that is to the receptors of these reinforcements. Such is the hypothesis that we wished to verify, in the field of the reinforcements distributed by the hierarchical chiefs to their subordinates. To answer to these questions, we used the over normative vs. counter normative auto presentation paradigm as regards the hierarchical chiefs and the judge’s paradigm as regards the subordinates. With regard to the hierarchical chiefs, we verified that to give a good image of themselves, they first attribute the responsibility of the sanctions that they distribute to their subordinates (and only next to themselves or to the context), the inverse being gotten when they want to give a bad image of them-selves. For the subordinates, we note a hierarchy of the preferences in which the subordinate would be also the main person responsible of the sanctions that he receives, with the chief classified in last.
