"Commun" et "communauté" : un essai de clarification sociologique

Abstract : "Common" and "community" : an essay of sociological clarification. This article aims to precise the sense of words often mixed of "community" and "common"t. After a short reference to what is meaning by "commons" and "principle of common", it shows that a certain number of classical sociology's themas, such as the oppositions between "community" and "society", " collective " and "individual", etc, don't allow to account for the originality of common as it is understood pratically in mobilizations and experiments. The contemporary issue of common does not consist in reactiving the old closed community as grounded on the identity of similar people but in thinking together the "commoning" of resources of all kinds and the democratical mode of decision of the rules of use. The theorical work in sociology can rely on the advances of Proudhon when he opposed oppressive community and communal form of political emancipation.,
